Rusagro says sowing area falls by 8% to 538,000 hectares in 2020

MOSCOW, Jun 23 (PRIME) -- The sowing area of Russian agricultural holding Rusagro fell 8% in 2020 to 538,000 hectares, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

The sowing campaign was finished Monday and the start of harvest is scheduled for the next week.

Winter wheat area rose 2% to 129,000 hectares, of spring wheat 36% to 67,000 hectares, beet area fell 5% to 84,000 hectares, soy ones 6% to 164,000 hectares.
